Winter is Coming. Is Your Car Ready?

Winter comes, even to the people of Westeros. While the people in the fictional Game of Thrones kingdom do not need to worry about converting their car for the winter, people who live in the real planet of Earth that experience winter do. A few simple steps can help someone prepare for the winter without too many problems.

It helps to schedule a car’s oil change around this time. Ideally, the oil change should occur every few months or every 6,000 miles or so. The primary reason to change the oil is because cars require different weight oils for maximum performance in the winter than they do in the summer. When spring finally arrives, the car owner probably should schedule an oil change appointment then, too. It does not hurt to get a few car washes done during the winter as well. The corrosive chemicals are sprayed on the roads during the winter.
